Corporate

At Keith Law, we are experienced corporate advisors, assisting clients in all matters of their business. From business formation, to financing, and the negotiating and entering into of key contracts, including those with employees, contractors, and key suppliers, we help to facilitate our clients' day-to-day business needs while also advising on and overseeing more complex issues such as disputes, equity or debt financings, borrowing, as well acquisitions and dispositions.

Real Estate

We are involved with commercial real estate transactions across Ontario (from small to large, private and public) and work with our clients from start to finish, negotiating the terms and conditions of an agreement of purchase and sale through to managing the various pre and post-closing requirements.

First Nations

Keith Law has experience and deep knowledge of First Nations issues, applicable laws and legal protections, treaty rights and governance concerns, and provides a variety of services, which include:

  • Consultation and accomodation processes, impact benefit agreements and related matters associated with major projects, including those in the mining sector;

  • Creating or advising on business entities, including partnerships and trusts;

  • The financing and the development of projects on FIrst Nations lands;

  • Advising on the exercise of jurisdiction by First Nations groups.

Mining and Exploration

With a base in Canada’s mining capital, Keith Law assists mining and exploration clients with their day-to-day legal needs and provides services including:

Construction

Keith Law has extensive experience in all areas of construction law. We represent and assist clients in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various types of construction contracts (including various CCDC contracts, joint venture, development, and design-build contracts). We advise clients in matters relating to procurement and tendering of contracts, project development, project finance and dispute resolution.

Civil and Commercial Litigation
